Quick Start
Get up and running with Rotor in under 2 minutes!
Before You Begin
- Blender 4.2.0+ required
- Rotor addon installed
- Press
Alt+X
to test - if Rotor activates, you’re ready!
Your First Mirror
1. Create Test Object
1. Delete default cube (X → Delete)
2. Add monkey head (Shift+A → Mesh → Monkey)
3. Stay in Object Mode
2. Activate Rotor
Press Alt+X
You’ll see colored arrows:
- Red = X axis
- Green = Y axis
- Blue = Z axis
3. Apply Mirror
Click any arrow to mirror along that axis. Click again to toggle off.
That’s it! You’ve mirrored your object.

Tool Settings
In the header bar:
- Mirror: Objects or Collections
- Pivot: Active, Individual, World, Cursor
- Orientation: Global, Local, Cursor
- Bisect: Clean cuts at mirror plane
Tips
- Start with single-axis mirrors
- Object origin affects mirror center
- Apply scale (Ctrl+A → Scale) for predictable results
